Martin Lewis Money Saving Expert:
I really do want to marry Martin Lewis! A few years ago I began listening to BBC Radio 2 and The Jeremy Vine Show (www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/shows/vine/) and that is when I discovered Martin Lewis. I can not praise him enough. His advice is compelling. Last Friday he strongly advised that Britain cap its energy bills. I proceeded to ring my supplier and do just that, during the show! Too many people wait and see and then miss the boat. Now when everyone else is running about panicking over the 60% rise, I will rest easy.
This isn’t the only advice I have used. I used Martin’s website www.moneysavingexpert.com to find an 8% interest rate savings account with Lloyd’s a couple years ago and switched. The rate is good for two years and then I will switch again after another sift through Martin’s website. Be warned: avoid putting ‘the’ into the web address as some financial planners have ’borrowed’ ‘money saving expert’ and inserted ‘the.’ I wonder how many people looking for Martin Lewis get stuck there? That kind of marketing is sneaky and I don’t like it!
Top Blog Tips
As a keen creative entrepreneur I love researching how people do what they do and borrowing ideas. For instance I spent some time researching how to write a top blog and there is loads on that. I looked at sites like www.angelabooth.comfor some tips. I am not a writer but I do really enjoy my blog. I have had 17 views since I began only a few weeks ago!! Ok, for you top bloggers out there that is peanuts but for me that is 17 visits of support!
Air Miles
Anyway, I was on www.moneysavingexpert.com today searching for credit card deals that offer air miles (as I fly to Canada-home). Lloyd’s has annoyed me by switching to a ‘duo airmiles’ card. I haven’t a clue how to use it. One day I just received two new cards (a MasterCard and an American Express card) to replace my old Lloyd’s Visa. I never asked for this, I certainly don’t want or need two cards. No one seems to take Amex (which has the air miles bit) so I am switching, hence back to the Money Saving Expert.
Anyway, my advice is that you check him out. He is not sponsored by anyone. He is completely independent and you really get that he is passionate about saving people money. Tune into him Fridays on BBC Radio 2 between 12pm-2pm. His site contains advise on mortgages, banking, insurance, utilities, travel, loans and loads more. What a guy!

I found your site on technorati and read a few of your other posts. Keep up the good work. I just added your RSS feed to my Google News Reader. Looking forward to reading more from you down the road!
